Well it is 5:00 a.m. and as is my tradition I come out of my tent totally packed ready to load the boat. It’s still dark so I will be making some coffee. It is not a good idea to sleep across from a very railroad yard. The cars were banging together all night but I wake up about every hour anyway. Slept pretty good. Getting all the kinks out of my body straightening it back out after sitting so long yesterday. Very quiet place to sleep except for the railroad yard. The flowing water did make a nice sound all night long. Nobody bothered me no people around. I expect more boats today since it’s a weekday. Will be getting on the water in about an hour hour and a half.
Start of day two

Hello I am 65 years old. Two years ago, when COVID hit, I knew that I have to get healthy or possibly die from that dreaded illness. I chose to change my lifestyle by loosing weight and getting active by kayaking, almost obsessively. Here is mostly my story about my upcoming trip down the Ohio River, in May of 2022.
